Ice Dragon Outpost Explained

What are the benefits of creating an Ice Dragon Outpost?

The Ice Dragon Outpost allows players to both further expand their Empire and train the newly implemented Frost Dragon.

Along with the new breed of Dragon, the Ice Dragon Outpost allows players to generate additional resources and train troops for more strategic combat planning. However, you will not be able to encamp or claim additional Wildernesses with the construction of the Ice Dragon Outpost.

Acquiring a Frost Dragon Egg and Armor

You may acquire a Frost Dragon Egg and Armor by purchasing the Ark of Ice in the Shop. Additionally, the Frost Dragon Egg and Armor may be obtained by sending attacks with a Great Dragon, Water Dragon, Stone Dragon, Fire Dragon, Wind Dragon, or Wraith Dragon to level 5 and above Mountains. One of your Dragons must be present to acquire a Frost Dragon Egg or piece of Armor.

If a Wraith Dragon is included in the March, the chance of acquiring the Frost Dragon Egg or Armor will be even higher.

Starting an Outpost

To start an Outpost, first make sure you meet the following requirements:

  • Own an Frost Dragon Egg
  • Control a Mountain
  • A player at Level 5 or higher
  • Have a Spectral Ruins

Important: You do not need a Water Dragon Outpost, Stone Dragon Outpost, Fire Dragon Outpost, or Wind Dragon Outpost to start your Ice Dragon Outpost. Only a Spectral Ruins is required.

After you meet all of the requirements, click the Empire tab in the bottom tray and click on the newly unlocked Ice Outpost.

This will launch the Expand Your Empire dialog, which verifies that you have met all of the requirements needed to build the Ice Dragon Outpost.

Outpost Damage

Similar to the Water, Stone, Fire, and Wind Dragon Outpost, if your Ice Dragon Outpost is attacked it will take damage that must be repaired before resources can be produced again. Your Outpost will automatically begin to heal itself after an attack, but it will take longer to heal the more advanced your Outpost is, so feel free to use Speed Ups to shorten your Outpost's healing time.
