What is a Lava Jaw? How do I train one?
What is a Lava Jaw?
A Lava Jaw is a new troop type available in the Fire Dragon Outpost. Lava Jaws have very long range and a large amount of health; they can be used to develop new and interesting battle tactics previously unthought of by warriors in Atlantis. With their long range and lower defense, Lava Jaws are best utilized when sent to attack with a defensive troop, so be sure to try out several combinations to find which attack style fits you best!
At this point in time, Lava Jaws can only be trained in Fire Dragon Outposts. You can view and dismiss Lava Jaws in any location, but in order to train them you must do so in your Fire Dragon Outpost.
How do I train a Lava Jaw?
In order to train a Lava Jaw, first make sure you have a Fire Dragon Outpost with a Level 10 Training Camp. From there, click on your Training Camp and scroll to the very bottom to find Lava Jaws. When you select the Lava Jaws, you will be presented with a list of necessary Resources and Research levels. If you fulfill all of these requirements, you will then be able to train this troop type.
In the list of requirements to train a Lava Jaw is also a new item: a Volcanic Rune. Much like how each Fangtooth requires a Fangtooth Respirator and each Granite Ogre requires a Glowing Mandrake, you must have one Volcanic Rune to train one Lava Jaw. A Volcanic Rune is an ancient relic that allows a player to summon a Lava Jaw from the depths of Atlantis. Once summoned, each Volcanic Rune is tied to the body of the Lava Jaw it summoned, and can no longer be used again. In other words, please be sure you have multiple Volcanic Runes if you wish to train a large amount of Lava Jaws.
Volcanic Runes can be obtained from Fortuna's Chance, as battle drops from Level 7-10 Mountains and Anthropus Camps, and purchased in the Shop under the Arsenal tab. Additionally, when you complete the Quest for building a Level 10 Training Camp in your Fire Dragon Outpost, you will be rewarded with 100 Volcanic Runes.
